ATX-300-12E vs ATX-250-12E?

You can find information or ask questions about replacing a power supply from prebuilt computers like Asus, Compaq, Dell, eMachines, Gateway, HP, Shuttle, Sony, and etc.

If the 20pin connector on your ATX-250-12E power supply have all the holes filled with at least 1 wire, then u'll need this insead.

It's been phased out on the newer systems. For the older ones, specially most older eMachines, they actually check the -5v. If it's not present, it wouldn't start.

But in your case, since your original power supply is already missing that wire, you can basically upgrade to either the ATX-300-ATX or the HIPRO one.
